These pumps are typically build to order.
5k springs are very touchy and will compound the hard starting and stalling more common to 13mm pumps. 13mm pumps are competition pumps and are prone to stalling, over fueling and must be fed by a large lift pump like Fass or Airdog 200GPH. 13mm pumps are very sensitive to fuel supply and delivery. The plunger/barrel assembly is lubricated by the fuel. Lack of fuel supply to the pump can seize the plunger. Often builders will lap the internals a lot and it will create a hard start 13mm. Our builder does a mild lap to avoid the hard starting. If you want a more aggressive lap to allow for greater clearance and use comp cut, 1/2 cut or full cut delivery valves please note and we will build the pump that way.
