DAP Screaming Eagle GX-E (SXE Style) FMW 3rd Gen Fit 57/65/14 T3 Gated SXE3G576514G44 is an excellent upgrade turbo. This turbo has the upgrades you expect from the SXE turbos with the FMW compressor, 360* Thrust Bearing and updated compressor wheel. It retains the compact compressor cover and does not offer a speed sensor port. A 90* elbow and clamp will be provided for the correct fitment on a 2003-2007 Dodge Cummins. This turbo would be great for a quick spooling truck 400-500HP that tows and daily drives. The 65mm turbine wheel will spool fast and lower EGT's. It will be a great all around turbo for some extra performance while excelling at towing and daily driving. One improved feature on the GX-E S357 13749880014 is the compressor wheel: 57.1mm inducer and a smaller 76.2mm exducer so it has less rotating mass and can spool faster. The GX-E S357 is a big upgrade from the 174430 with 57.1mm inducer and 83.4mm exducer compressor wheel that flows less at 61lbs/minute. The DAP Screaming Eagle GX-E is built on the latest technologies from Borg Warner AirWerks® SX-E. This turbo uses as a Genuine Borg Warner CHRA (compressor housing and rotating assembly) with a FMW (Forged Mill Wheel) which is better than "billet". Turbo may be fitted with a variety of turbine housing options to give you the spool up and flow that your engine needs. The increased flow and efficiency from the turbo is much improved from turbos sold just a few years ago. Borg Warner AirWerks® S300SXE deliver up to a 3 percent increase in adiabatic compressor efficiency and up to 20 percent more flow with the same size compressor. Extra efficiency comes from many features like 360* extreme duty thrust, and updated designs on Forged Mill Wheel (FMW) compressors are included. The CHRA is assembled at Borg Warner's facility ensuring that components and assembly are top quality. The increased efficiency and flow bring cooler charge air temps and denser air results in more power and more complete combustion. Those using the SXE/GX-E turbos can often step down to a smaller compressor and have better response and support more HP than many other turbos available.
This turbo will support a maximum of 450-500HP depending on elevation, turbine choice, and engine modifications. It flows approximately 67 lbs/minute, which is significantly more than the HE341CW and about the same compressor flow as the HE351CW, but the larger turbine wheel and housing will reduce EGT significantly over the OE Holset turbos.
