The Diesel Power Source® 5G exhaust manifold is a direct OEM replacement for the factory exhaust manifold on 2019–2024 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks with the 6.7L Cummins engine. This high-flow, 2-piece manifold with a divided runner design delivers over 62% improved exhaust flow compared to stock, resulting in faster turbo spool-up, lower exhaust gas temperatures, better fuel economy, and significantly improved durability over the factory casting.
Cast from high-silicon ductile iron with 1/4" thick walls, the DPS 5G manifold is built to handle the sustained heat and load demands of towing, daily driving, and performance applications without the cracking, warping, and shrinkage that plague the factory manifold. It bolts directly to the factory HE300VG turbocharger and retains full EGR compatibility.
Does NOT fit Cab & Chassis models (Ram 3500/4500/5500) without modification. This manifold is designed for 2019–2024 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup models only. Cab & Chassis trucks use a different manifold-to-exhaust routing and turbo orientation.
Why the 5th Gen Factory Manifold Fails
The 2019–2024 Ram 6.7 Cummins uses a single-piece factory exhaust manifold that handles all six cylinders in one rigid casting. Like previous generations, repeated heat cycling causes the manifold to shrink, warp, and eventually crack. The rear cylinders run the hottest and are typically where cracking appears first. Once the manifold develops a leak, exhaust energy that should be driving the turbocharger escapes through the gap, which raises EGTs, slows turbo response, increases fuel consumption, and accelerates wear on surrounding gaskets and hardware.
The 5th gen platform runs hotter EGTs than previous generations due to tighter emissions calibrations and higher factory power output. This makes the manifold even more susceptible to thermal fatigue, and many 5th gen owners are already experiencing manifold failures at lower mileage than the 4th gen trucks did.
How the DPS 2-Piece Design Solves the Problem
The DPS 5G manifold uses a 2-piece construction with a divided design that allows the front and rear sections to expand and contract independently as the engine heats and cools. This eliminates the internal stress that causes factory manifolds to warp, shrink, and crack. The two pieces are pressed together and pressure-tested before shipping, arriving as one assembled, ready-to-install unit.
The divided runner design also improves exhaust pulse separation between cylinder groups, delivering cleaner pulse energy to the turbocharger's twin-scroll inlet. This is a meaningful performance improvement over the factory manifold's open-collector design, and it's a key reason the DPS manifold flows over 62% more than stock.
