Boost the performance of your 7.3 Powerstroke with the KC300x Stage 1 Gen 3 Turbo, engineered for stronger airflow, quicker spool, and modernized efficiency. This updated design features a 4" ported compressor housing with drilled anti‑surge ports, a fully reworked Gen 3 7x7 SXE‑style compressor wheel using extended‑tip technology, and a high‑flow SXE‑inspired turbine wheel built around a thicker, more durable shaft. Both the compressor and turbine housings have been redesigned from the ground up for improved flow and stability.

The Gen 3 KC300x now utilizes a 0.91 A/R turbine housing paired with a 0.70 A/R compressor cover. The original 1.0 A/R compressor housing was replaced with a more efficient 0.70 A/R version featuring a revised map groove, updated anti‑surge ring, and a modernized volute profile. Earlier turbine housings (.84 and 1.0 A/R) were outperformed by today’s turbo technology, so this version draws from the latest industry designs—optimizing flow path, volute geometry, and material density. Testing confirmed that the new 0.91 A/R turbine housing spools faster and delivers stronger top‑end power than previous options.

The KC300x remains a dependable journal‑bearing drop‑in turbo, but now with a redesigned bearing housing and backing plate capable of supporting 200% larger thrust bearings along with wider, taller journal bearings. A steel thrust insert replaces the old aluminum backing plate, ensuring consistent expansion rates and more stable operation under heat. The integrated backing‑plate‑into‑bearing‑housing design increases rigidity, reducing deflection and distortion during extreme temperature and pressure cycles.
