The PPE Stage 1 Performance Camshaft - ALT-Firing changes the cylinder firing sequence to 1-5-6-3-4-2-7-8. This alternation reduces the stress exerted on the crankshaft and prevents crankshaft failures which are commonly seen in high-performance applications.
With a moderate intake/exhaust duration and a .460 inch intake/exhaust valve lift, this camshaft works great with stock or performance tune.
Each camshaft is forged with high-tensile chromoly steel, precision ground to extremely tight tolerance, and then carburized and quenched to achieve 60+ HRC surface hardness.
It also features a slotted gear alignment pin for increased durability.
